Simulation Goal

The New Wave Retail simulation was designed for a one-day sales kick-off event with approximately 200 people. We divided the audience into five different rooms, each with four table teams of 10 people. The sessions were all linked by a scoreboard. The simulation started with the teams cold calling the prospect. Once an appointment was secured, they would undertake discovery appointments before making an initial pitch.

Delegates Assets

Each table was given an account plan with tools that they needed to fill in. Information on the company, and the people they were selling to, was on the New Wave Retail website and available from discovery meetings with people from New Wave Retail.

Skills

The skills that were developed were cold calling, discovery and building & delivering a pitch.

Coaching

Each table team had a coach who was practicing their own coaching skills at the same time as supporting the delegates and keeping them on track.
